JUDITH HERB COLLEGE OF EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS
The Judith Herb College of Education 2009-2010 scholarship application will be available beginning mid January, 2008 in the Student Services Office, 3100 Gillham Hall. A paper application may also be printed from the web at http://education.utoledo.edu/home.asp. Application deadline is March 6, 2009. Note: All need-based scholarships require that a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) be on file by April 1. General Agnes and Clarence Alspaugh Scholarship for Student Teachers An annual scholarship of $2000 for a student who is committed to being a teacher and who will be engaged in student teaching during the award year. The scholarship is disbursed the semester the recipient is student teaching and is not refundable. This scholarship will be awarded to the applicant whose FAFSA score verifies the greatest need. The recipient shall exhibit the characteristics of being hard-working, with a love of people and a desire to help others. The recipient shall have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. This scholarship is not renewable. Judith Herb College of Education Alumni Affiliate Scholarship The Education Alumni Affiliate Scholarship is for education majors who will be attending The University of Toledo full-time or part-time for the 2009-2010 academic year. Entering freshmen, undergraduate, and graduate students are invited to apply. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Applicants are to have a 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file in the Office of Student Financial Aid by March 3, 2009. The American Council of the
Blind of Ohio Scholarship is for undergraduate or
graduate education majors who will
be attending The University of Toledo full-time or
part-time. Recipients shall be majoring in an academic
program that will train them to be educators of children
who are blind or visually impaired. Preference

Ohio prior to matriculation and who demonstrate
